The last of the "Most Engaging" awards go to two blogs for which I have high hopes. First up is the aptly-named Public Engagement Blog operated by Victor Bloomfield out of Minnesota. Victor was on a real roll for the month of December 2006 when his blog included a number of entries on higher education and civic engagement as well as posts related to rural issues, immigration, and student engagement. Great stuff, really enjoyable, then Victor left for a month to travel and hasn't gotten back in the swing of things. This "Most Engaging" award goes to the Public Engagement Blog provided it makes a reappearance with more entries in the near future -- there's a lot to like and it would be a shame to stop now! In the meantime, I highly encourage our readers to take a look through the 2006 offerings on that site for some interesting reading.
Our final blog of note has literally just started and, knowing the half-life of blogs, I am hesitant to give it "Most Engaging" status so soon. The Conscious Communities Blog operated by Don Iannone looks like it will be a spirited discussion about community and human development by someone with a background in economic development but also sporting degrees in organizational behavior and anthropology. Don previously ran a blog called the Economic Development Futures Journal which no longer offers new posts but remains on the web and has some interesting content. This "Most Engaging" goes to a blog that offers a lot of promise and has delivered so far.
