Today Pittsburgh is hosting the G-20 participants, spouses, journalists, and maybe thousands of other people who have a message to share. This latter group goes by a number of names: protestors, disruptors, advocates--you get the picture. They want to use the occasion of the summit to bring attention to one of a number of issues. There are folks from inside the city to even countries away that will have a presence today. What I don't want to see happen today is anything that will detract even a nanosecond from some of the big issues on the table. We need some agreement on the economy, trade, and climate change just to get the ball rolling. While I am all in favor of summits like this one, far too often the bottom line is nothing-nada. People come away saying it was a good meeting and the same issues are taken up the next time they get together. The mayor of Pittsburgh said that the summit will showcase Pittsburgh and allow it to shed its "rust-belt" image. While this is all well and good, the best thing that could happen for Pittsburgh is to be the place that some of the big issues of the day get some agreement and movement toward solution. I know the Europeans are in an uproar over bankers' compensation and how the stimulus money is coming down but how about the environment? It is time for the leaders of the free world to lead. If that happens in Pittsburgh, it will be bigger than the Super Bowl or the World Series to the world's future.

I'm opening an office shortly in Bratislava in the Slovak republic and
preparatory to meeting a lawyer there to give me more information on
this question, I'm looking for a short primer in English to the law
about employing people there. The things I'm interested in are such
things as a) Taxes and Insurance -what taxes and insurance is payable
by the employer and the employee at the different salary levels, who
are they payable to, when are they payable and so on, b) Pension
contributions - what compulsory pension contributions are there, what
options exist for employer funded pensions and so on, c) Working rules
- what are the rules about ehen people can work, how they work and so
on. Plus anything else you think is useful...

I had two computers both connected to a wireless router. Yesterday I connected a third computer to the network and, although the connection goes through for this new computer, one of the original computers now says "Limited or no connectivity" and cannot connect to the Internet. Is it possible that the new computer is using up too much bandwidth and is therefore preventing the other computer from accessing the Internet?

I want to know where the jeweled antique looking belt that sheryl Crow
wore is from. It may have been from a video or magazine. I think it is
from New York city. It looks bronze and has semi precious stones
inlaid, pearls, e.t.c. It is all metel and hooks in the back.

The time you spend at the office may be the most stressful part of your day, but it doesn't have to be. You have a greater ability to shape your office environment than you may realize.

I think the defeat to Dutchman, at this World Cup they deserved the victory more than others. I, though not an octopus, but predict a goal Sneijder.

Experience never misleads; what you are missed by is only your judgement, and this misleads you by anticipating results from experience of a kind that is not produced by your experements. Do you think so?

We’re conditioned to think that our lives revolve around great moments. But great moments often catch us unaware - beautifully wrapped in what others may consider a small one.

You would think people would wake-up after that one, but no -- they keep looking for that pot of gold that will send them to Hawaii for the rest of their lives.

When implementing process or information system changes, slow and steady doesn't necessarily win the race. You have the need for speed.
