Thanks for highlighting this issue. I suspect that it is more more critical than we know. How many families are moving in with other family members and friends? How many folks are living out of their cars or are camping? Do they get counted? I really doubt it. Just like the unemployment numbers--if you are not actively looking (i.e., receiving unemployment) do "we" know you are unemployed? We have to remind ourselves that this recovery is going to take a greater toll than we want to accept and it is going to take more time than we want. It is calling on us to be the compassionate country we keeping telling ourselves we are.
